David Loveall has been working in the field of digital forensics since 2000. He currently serves as the Senior Computer Scientist for Digital Forensics at the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he is the Senior Level advisor for issues related to digital forensics and computer science. Additionally, he is the subject matter expert on a wide range of emerging science and technology and information technology areas.

He has conducted hundreds of examinations and testified as an expert in the field of digital forensics in US Federal, state, and international courts. He has developed numerous tools used by digital forensics practitioners. He is the recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers for his outstanding contributions to the field of digital forensics, the FBI Director’s Award for Outstanding Technical Advancement, and the Intelligence Community Seal Medallion.
